I've reported this problem with the street numerous times and it is always closed without resolution. Umbria street were it intersects Shawmont is awful. I can not tell you how many times I've almost been in an accident because someone is trying to avoid the bad road conditions.
As of 09/10/2011, the potholes have been filled, but the surface is still very rough. The drain at the bottom was not cleared and gravel covers the right lane heading west (uphill), forcing drivers into the other lane. Still very dangerous not only for motorists, but also for cyclists trying to get to the Schuylkill River Trail. Do the Mayor and Councilman Jones even know that this is still part of the city?
09/12/2011 Here's a pic of a driver in the wrong lane, avoiding the gravel. Also, the vegetation on the right needs to be cut back as it covers part of the uphill lane.
