It might be a good idea to relook at the stop sign the is on Washington St in front of the church. Most cars stop at the crosswalk that is almost at the opposite corner or some cars do not stop at all.

The vegetation was removed via work order #16725, however, curb work is extensive and will be done when funding is available.

The stop sign issue has been forwarded to the police department for review.

Thank you once again for bringing this issue to our attention. The Parks department has reported resolving the island issue under work order #16725; this issue has been closed. If you feel this issue has not been completely addressed, please re-open this report and provide more detailed information on how to identify the location of the problem.

The stop sign location and lack of a stop line being painted on the road is a constant issue. Motorists constantly stop at the crosswalk on the opposite corner and then drive through the stop sign without stopping. It's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured at this intersection if it hasn't already happened.

The Community Development Department handles all of the sidewalk/curbing repairs thru out the City and they have been made aware of this location so it can be addressed in the future. Thank you.
